Az MS Pride of Calais (későbbi nevén MS Ostend Spirit) nevű hajó utolsó partot érése igencsak látványosra sikeredett. A hatalmas hajó 1987 és 2012 között a La Manche-csatornán, Dover és Calais között szállította az utasokat. Majd 2012 elejétől a Ramsgate-Ostend útvonalon közlekedett.
